Can we lock the answergarden after using it?

I'd like to lock my answergarden question so that no more answers can be posted, but still be viewable. I want to do this so that kids can still go back and look at it, but so that I dont have to monitor further (possibly inappropriate) answers.

Any chance you'll be looking into developing a password protected version of answergarden?
I'm using your tool and love it! My only problem is that my "gardens" tends to be hacked and foul language is left all over... Not som good if I want to create an anwergarden 2 days befoer using it...

Im new here so this might be a silly question but is it possible to make all posts visible. I'm using this with my class (8-10 year olds) and the kids really want to see all the answers that they post.

Could you explain to me about it how it works, are you able to see peoples answers? I really love this idea of an answer garden especially if you are able to see people answers and get them to write their names, I defiantly will be using it in my classroom.

I would like to use Answer Garden in Blackboard 9 - I can get Answer Gardent to work in Blackboard 8 - it does not seem to like the flash component. Any clues as to how I can sort this out would be appreciated - love Answer Garden Lenka

Before I launched an answer garden w/ my class, someone somewhere posted a nasty phrase in different language. I have repeatedly logged in to remove it. And I continue to get the message that this phrase has been deleted. However, it is still there.

What do you recommend?

Is there any way to identify the authors of responses or to change the settings so that responses have to be approved before appearing?

As indicated on our twitter stream, there were some issues with the database server of AnswerGarden (hosted by Mijndomein). We finally managed to get into the database server and uploaded a backup of the database.

It could be that some last data before the backup have disappeared as the backup was made 30 minutes before the server crashed.
Please let us know if you encounter anything that's not working the way it should. Our apologies for the inconvenience and we're so happy it's finally up and running again!

Embedding Non-Flash version?

Hi--

I was wondering if there is a way to embed the non-Flash version so it shows on the page the same way the Flash version does (that is, without the ads on the top of the page so it is just the text-enter box and the answer garden itself)?

Currently, I am embedding it like so:

but as I said, this goes to a page with the ad at the top...

1&1 Wordpress embedding

I have tried to embed AnswerGarden into a blog in Wordpress hosted by 1and1 but only one word shows up in the window - see http://s342486662.websitehome.co.uk/201 … wergarden/ - I tried the Wordpress embedding buttons but they don't work either. Does anyone have a work around for this please?

I won't probably be using AnswerGarden on this blog very often other than for this posting!

I saw in the server logs that your AnswerGarden wasn't embedded correctly.

This is really easy to fix! Embed the code you get from the AnswerGarden website in the HTML tab in the post edit window.

The tab is indicated with blue on this screenshot:

Once you've found it, click it and you can paste the AnswerGarden code in the field and press submit!

QR-codes for easy beam behaviour

Are you using AnswerGarden in classrooms or workshop environments? So do we. We've noticed it's a nice tool for FAST response gathering. However, there's one thing that could be sped up: getting respondents to the right url, especially when they use mobile phones or tablet computers. People have to manually enter the url on their iPhonez, Androidz or Blackbrrries using the tiny keyboards on screen.

But wait, isn't there something like QR-code? Yes, and it is exactly meant for overcoming this problem. You beam or show a fancy looking black and white looking square filled with blocks and smooth smartphone owners instantly know how to scan these and instantly have the correct page on screen.

AnswerGarden now is capable of showing QR-codes. This means participants can scan the code from a beamer using a mobile phone!
